Cabo San Lucas - Fun for the Entire Family

by Laura Ramirez
(Cabo San Lucas Mexico)

Cabo San Lucas - Land's End at Sunset

Cabo San Lucas - Land's End at Sunset

As a seasoned traveler to Cabo San Lucas Mexico (my family and I have been vacationing there for almost twenty years), there's part of me that wants to keep this piece of paradise to myself, while there's another part that wants to share it with the world.

Of course, Cabo is no secret. Everybody knows that in addition to being dubbed, "The World's Aquarium," by oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, it's also known as "The Marlin Capital of the World." Anglers come from all over the planet to try their hand in that timeless struggle between man (or in my case, woman) and fish. Although Cabo is home to one of the biggest marlin fishing tournaments, it offers much more than sport fishing.

For instance, Los Cabos is home to six championship golf courses. Jack Nicklaus has designed three of them.

Although there are activities to satisfy everyone in the family, such as swimming with the dolphins, riding a pirate ship, exploring the Baja outback, shopping at the upscale boutiques or the merchants market downtown, what I like most about Cabo is its beauty. Truly the jewel of the Baja California Sur peninsula, it has a unique ecological mix of tropics and desert and is situated at Land's End, where the sparkling turquoise waters of the Sea of Cortez meet the turbulent waters of the Pacific and where every beautiful day ends in a glorious sunset as the golden orb descends, trailed by a cascade of pinks and blues.

Come to Cabo San Lucas and see it for yourself.
