Chattanooga Air Show 2005:
US Navy Blue Angels
Back by Popular Demand!

The Chattanooga Air Show 2005 was certainly a spectacular hit with Chattanooga residents and visitors alike!

The US Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration team was back in 2005 by popular demand.

History of Air Show Chattanooga

Chattanooga held her first air show in the spring of 1992 and was an instant success.

The success of Air Show Chattanooga contributed to her phenomenal growth from year to year. It soon became the second largest spectator event in the "scenic city".

The Chattanooga air show now attracts enough spectators and top performers that it has become one of the largest and most highly respected air shows in the industry.

In addition to top notch military performers like the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Air Force Thunderbirds (in 2002), the air show boasts some of the best aerobatic performers and static aircraft displays around today!

Chattanooga Air Show 2005

The 2005 air show was even more impressive than in the past!

The air show was held on October 29 and 30 for the 2005 event. Many locals were especially excited about this date so as to beat the unfathomable southern summer heat and humidity.

Chattanooga Air Show 2005: Performers

The list of performers for 2005 at Air Show Chattanooga was impressive as usual!

The premier attraction for most was the US Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team with their supersonic F/A-18 fighter/bomber jets and top notch ground crews! Of course their US Marine Corps C-130 cargo/support aircraft, affectionately known as Fat Albert, was also on the scene as well and even demonstrated its jet assisted take off (JATO)!

Also traveling to the Chattanooga air show 2005 was Jim LeRoy with Bulldog Air shows and their awesome aerobatics that are second to none!

Also appearing at the air show was The Shockwave Jet Truck that raced air planes at over 300 mph! The truck produces 36,000 horsepower and holds the world record in the quarter mile for trucks at 256 mph in 6.36 seconds! The Shockwave Jet Truck also holds a Guinness world record speed of 376 mph for full size trucks!

Also appearing at Air Show Chattanooga 2005 was the U.S.A.F. Tactical Demo and Heritage Flight, an A-4 Skyhawk demonstration, the Starfighters (World's Fastest Airshow Team), the Warbirds Show, the Viper East F-16 demonstration, the P-51 Sweetie Face Planes of Fame, and much more on the ground and in the air!
