Is Chattanooga Barbeque Really the Best?
|
|||||
Let?s face it, the south is well known for great BBQ. And Chattanooga is right smack in the middle of the south.
Wait. Why am I wasting my time trying to convince you with words? The only way for you to know is for you to taste and decide for yourself. So, here are a few suggestions as to where you should start...
When it comes to Chattanooga bbq, Famous Dave has got it down pat! They offer a scrumptious variety on the menu in a classic Tennessee foothills type setting.
Famous Dave's has a great "sit down" atmosphere and several signature sauces to choose from with a variance from "sweet" to "heat".
They are located at 2122 Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, near Hamilton Place Mall. Why not shop and eat in the same day trip?

When I think Chattanooga barbeque, nowadays anyway, Sticky Fingers is bound to cross my mind.
While Sticky Fingers did not actually start in Chattanooga, it might not have started at all if three school boys had not entered the seventh grade in Chattanooga, Tennessee and struck up a life long friendship. (You can read more about that story on their website.)
Anyway, back to the point: Sticky Fingers has some of the best "Memphis style" barbeque around. They offer five signature sauces and seasonings that you can not only indulge in while you are there, but you can even buy a bottle to apply to your favorite BBQ food at your own house!
Recently Bon Appetit magazine even raved over this Chattanooga barbeque favorite!
Another barbeque name that has become famous in Chattanooga is Smokey Bones Chattanooga BBQ.
Though I have not yet enjoyed the Smokey Bones flavor, I have had many friends tell me that Smokey Bones is "the stuff" when it comes to southern barbeque.
Decide for yourself! You might want to travel to Chattanooga just for good southern BBQ!
If you're like me and like to cook bbq as much as eat it, then you should check out this great site for great "at home" barbeque recipes and tips: Smoker-Cooking.com.
