Chattanooga News and Up to Date InformationWant up to date Chattanooga news? There are certainly plenty of local sources here, so you can stay up to date on news from the scenic city. Click here to share! News ReviewsA Rossville City Council member and friend of mine, Teddy Harris, recently put up a Chattanooga area news webpage called Peerless Review. The page brings highlights of interesting local news stories from varied sources all in one place. The stories are up to date, interesting, and informative! Also be sure to check out the origin of Peerless Review's name by clicking on the WWII photo! NewspapersThe most popular "in print" newspaper in town is the Chattanooga Times Free Press. This local paper used to be 2 separate papers, the Chattanooga Times and the Chattanooga News Free Press. Then the two were consolidated into one, solid local news source. In recent years when more and more citizens are gaining internet access and, consequently, turning to the internet for fast access to needs fulfillment, another online Chattanooga area news source has taken shape. The Chattanoogan (also a luxury resort hotel in the area with the same name) has positioned itself as a highly trafficked and very dependable source for Chattanooga news online. In fact the Chattanoogan is now the fourth most read online newspaper in the state of Tennessee, according to Alexa.com! They cover local breaking news, according to them, "often within minutes and often with color photographs from digital cameras." Online News FeedChattanooga News on TelevisionThis is not their official name, but the other two local stations on the tube have news in their name, and Channel 3 often has better coverage, in my opinion. So, why not call them News Channel 3 Chattanooga. They are the local NBC affiliate station. News Channel 9 is the ABC affiliate station to look to for local news, weather, and sports. News 12 has good news coverage as well and boasts of being "your safe families station". They are the local CBS affiliate station for Chattanooga news and nationwide programming. Personal PreferenceIn my estimation, most local news coverage is pretty close. All of the sources listed above provide good quality and up to date news, so it may come down to personal preferences. For example, when I have ample time to sit and read it, I prefer the Chattanooga Times Free Press. If I am on the internet, I prefer to consult Chattanooga-Charm.com for my
