A Few Facts About Chattanooga TN

Chattanooga TN is the fourth largest city in the state of Tennessee. The city is the county seat of Hamilton county and is approaching a population of 200,000.

Chattanooga's location is in the southeastern portion of the state, right on the Georgia state line. This year (2008), Georgia has tried to get the border between the two states moved further north to the Tennessee River. They have cited a mistake in the original arrangements regarding the state lines and also hope to gain access to the waters of the Tennessee River.

Chattanooga TN is located at 35.05 N Latitude, 85.27 W Longitude. Atlanta, Georgia is about two hours southeast of Chattanooga, and Nashville, Tennessee is about two hours to the northwest. Knoxville, Tennessee is close as well, only about a hundred miles away, making this a very convenient place to live!
