Our Date Continues past the Chattanooga Walnut Street Bridge...We continued our walk past the Chattanooga Walnut Street Bridge.
The Walnut Street Bridge is a beautiful old bridge that connects Chattanooga's north shore district with the Bluff View Art District. The bridge really adds to the romance of both districts and the great scenic city itself.
My lovely wife and I moseyed along past the various artwork along the new walkway from the bridge down to Market Street and the Tennessee Aquarium. We decided to get an ice cream cone and "cop a squat" (sit down for you non-southern types) by the wondering "manmade" tributary that flows through the aquarium property.
After we sat and talked for a while we decided to walk down to the new Cherokee section of Ross' Landing. The Native American artwork was beautiful and the design of the stair-stepped waterfall and lagoon were works of art themselves.
The massive fountains in the river really topped off the majestic look of the whole thing. If you haven't been to Ross' Landing lately, you need to take a walk down there, or better yet, dock your boat there for a while. While you're there, you really should take your sweetheart for a walk across the Chattanooga Walnut Street Bridge to the north shore and then come back and spend some time in the Bluff View Art District. Seriously, take time to take it all in. Chattanooga's Charm really is increasing all the time! Attractions and Things To Do Pages |
