The Chattanooga Creative Discovery Museum is an awesome place for families to spend time together playing and learning!

Located in Chattanooga's Downtown Aquarium District, the museum is convenient to all of the downtown activities, so you can easily plan a weekend of family fun within a few block radius!

I took my family in 2005 and plan to return this year!

Upon Entry

After we bought our tickets in the lobby, my family and I entered the museum through the water exhibit area. Wow!

Not only is there a ship themed playground of sorts, there are a vast array of fun water related experiments for every age group to enjoy.

Caution adults: You may just get wet, but that's half the fun!

Wonders of Light

We then moved into the section that has loads of experiments you and the kiddies can do that teach you about light, the way it bends, and the way it behaves.

Preschool Playhouse

There is an awesome playhouse exclusively for the youngest of your crew on the first floor as well. It is perfect for those who are not mature enough to enjoy the other areas of the museum.

Art-tastic

An art section you won't believe awaits you in the art area on the first floor of the Chattanooga Creative Discovery Museum!

My older sons and I did some computer art together. We made a short movie with plastic characters and we made clay sculptures.

Musical Memories

You can learn about all types of musical instruments and music in the music section.

Oh the sounds in this place!

Archaeology 101

You and the kids can set out on your own archaeological dig for dinosaur bones and fossils in this section of the Chattanooga Creative Discovery Museum!

Or you can even view live ancient animals in simulated habitats.

Watch out for the Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches and reptiles!

As of March 2, 2006 base prices are as follows:

You can pay $7.95 for adults and $6.95 for children for a day of fun and learning or you could purchase an annual family membership for $70.

The family membership will get you unlimited visits for the entire family for a full year! This option is perfect if you live in the area or are planning repeat visits to Chattanooga.
