Finally--After 40 Years, A Visit to Rock City!

I grew up in North Carolina, Mississippi and Florida but attended college in the Chattanooga area. My sister, who was 11 years older attended that same college. Whenever we drove to visit her, I saw the barns with SEE ROCK CITY on them. As a child, I begged my dad to "do what the barn says." Let's go to Rock City but he never did.

When I was a college student, I don't think I had any money to SEE ROCK CITY.

Finally, I had the chance to visit Chattanooga a few weeks ago and my childhood friend and I did what the barns had been telling us to do for over 40 years. We went to SEE ROCK CITY! I brought a birdhouse back with me as a souvenir. It's sitting in my kitchen here in Nebraska!
