Lost Rings - Looking for Miracle or a Good Samaritan

by Christine Henley
(Birmingham, Alabama)

On Jan. 1, 2009 off I-40 at the BP service station on 709 N. Campbell Station Rd. off I-40 E.... West of Knoxville TN . I Lost a 4.50ct platinum diamond ring & a 7.62ct Amethyst(purple) with .70ct of round diamonds around the amethyst ring. More details if found.

I took them off in the bathroom and left them on the back of the toilette lid. Many would think how stupid to have taken them off and left them or would think I am probably rich and have the means to replace them. I don't and I am not rich and no they were not insured!

My husband worked long hours each day in 110 degree weather painting houses so that we could save 15 dollars each week for 10 yrs.

My husband passed away 7 yrs ago. I was 38 and had never supported myself. With the grace God I have managed on my own cleaning houses. I learned when a sheriff and chaplain show up at your door its not good news! No there was no life insurance money either!

I can never replace the rings nor the sentimental value or history behind both rings. No they were not insured. If I had found someones rings I would not have to think twice at returning them! I am not just saying that cause I have lost mine. I say that cause my heart would ache for the person that had lost them knowing she would want to die and be so devastated at loosing them for the rest of her life!

I would have realized that the rightful owners would have come back to claim them! They would have realized there are still good people in this world that would in the end do the right thing! I would have realized that all stations have security cameras that had seen me when I walked into the station to get the key and when I returned it.

What I am hoping is the person that walked in the bathroom after me would feel as I do and will have the heart to also do the right thing and return the rings and my memories! There is a reward!

I know it will take a good-hearted Samaritan or a miracle for me to probably ever see my rings again! I am hoping that the person that found my rings or anyone that knows anything about them or someone that has seen these rings anywhere or has heard the person that got them brag about her find or gift...

Or the jewelry store where they will be taken for appraisal or the pawn shop that will buy them or anyone that may think they know something will have the heart to do the right thing and contact me at far7ana2001@yahoo.com (205) 669-7293 or the Knox County Sheriff's office at (865) 215-3598

If you have the ring-rings and someone is claiming them PLEASE make them show proof of purchase!!
