Nightfall Chattanooga or, more properly, the Chattanooga Nightfall Concert Series is a free summer-long program, held each Friday night from Memorial Day weekend through the last weekend of September at Miller Plaza in downtown Chattanooga. 2008 marks the 20th season of Nightfall for the "scenic city". The summer concert series features headline performances by a variety of world-class musicians from around the world and is opened by local artists and bands. On each Friday evening the concerts are held, the festivities begin with the opening local act at 7:00 pm. Then at 8:00, the featured headliner begins to dazzle the crowd with their unique musical stylings. Chattanooga Nightfall strives to bring a vibrant mix of jazz, rock, blues, reggae, funk, zydeco, bluegrass and folk music to Downtown Chattanooga.
