Enjoy Your Stay At The Sheraton Read House Hotel Chattanooga!

The Sheraton Read House Hotel Chattanooga was first used as an inn way back in 1847.

Back then it was known as the Crutchfield House. The Crutchfields were targeting rail travelers between Chattanooga and Atlanta and it worked well turning the inn into a thriving business!

Many well known people have visited the hotel over the years...Al Capone, Gary Cooper, Winston Churchill, and Jefferson Davis to name a few.

Location of The Sheraton Read House Hotel Chattanooga

If you are planning to walk around the downtown area of the Scenic City, the Read house just might be the right hotel choice for you.

It is centrally located in the south downtown area. To give you an idea of what that actually means:

The Sheraton Read House Hotel Chattanooga is approximately 0.62 miles from the Chattanooga Aquarium, which is central to many downtown attractions. Just walk or drive north on Broad street and be careful not to run into the Tennessee Aquarium because it is at the very end of the street...literally!

The hotel is just 0.27 miles from the Warehouse Row shopping center toward the southern end of town.

The Sheraton Read House Hotel Chattanooga's Amenities

This fine downtown hotel has a great historic look with its Drexel Heritage furniture in the 138 suites.

Of course all rooms have fee cable TV and HBO and the usual modern conveniences, but the Governor's and President's suites pack a much larger punch and stunning views of the Scenic City!

The silver ballroom is a gorgeous example of southern beauty and charm. It boasts unique hand carved moldings and crystal/sterling silver chandeliers that bring that feel of the "old south" and ballroom dances into your mind. (Speaking of ballroom dances, my first high school prom was held right here in the ballroom. Ahhhh the memories!)

There are also several other meeting rooms that can accommodate large and small group functions.

There is a Starbucks coffee shop in the hotel as well as Porter's Steakhouse with their famous pepper loin meal.
