Invitation to Bid

Conchita Vines will receive bids for the rehabilitation of a single family home located at 1910 Raulston Street Chattanooga, TN. Bids may be mailed to 4857 Nina Marie Avenue Murfreesboro, TN 3712 or emailed to konchitav@yahoo.com to be received on or before May 10, 2010.

The bids will include the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, tools, supervision, incidental, and other items necessary or convenient to satisfactorily complete the rehabilitation of the home. The home will be open for inspection on Saturday May 1, 2010 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by the Contractor’s Licensing Act of 1976 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and all acts amended thereof, and must provide evidence of license in the appropriate classification before such bid will be considered. All bidders must further be a firm certified in Lead Safe Work practices as evidenced by documentation from Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA). Work involving paint, whether scraping or painting, requires the worker to be certified in Lead Safe Work Practices. Proof of certification is required and must be submitted with bid. Contractors must submit references and provide proof of ability to obtain insurance. The Contractor will agree to comply with all State, Federal, and Local laws and/ or regulations.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing wage rates as issued by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development must be paid on this project. The contractor must ensure that employees/ applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex, or national origin. When possible, contractors agree to consider employing residents of the local area.

Conchita Vines reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Conchita Vines for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from May 10, 2010 for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
