The Chattanooga Aquarium

Submit your story about The Chattanooga Aquarium!

The Tennessee Aquarium is the world's largest freshwater aquarium with over 9,000 animals in natural habitats!

One of the newest and most talked about exhibits is the Penguin's Rock exhibit at the aquarium. Chattanooga, Tennessee has become the home of penguins indeed! Who would have thought it considering our winters here in the Tennessee valley are usually pretty mild. In fact we are yet to have what I would consider a really "good" snow since the infamous blizzard of 1993, which I missed because of being on the Mediterranean Sea while in the U.S. Navy.

Anyway, It would seem that we would be one of the last places on Earth to rate a penguin exhibit, but the good folks at the Tennessee Aquarium have done a great job cooling the place down for our flightless friends.
