The Vaudeville Cafe in Chattanooga:
Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre

I visited the Vaudeville Cafe Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre in Chattanooga and this is what I think...

The cafe is a hillarious experience where you can eat, laugh, and participate or just sit back and watch the fun!

Don't stay outside of the Vaudeville Cafe Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre! Go inside and join the fun!

The cafe has 4 main evening shows and a Saturday afternoon childern's dinner show with a "modified" menu for the kiddies...

Vaudeville Cafe Menu

I guess my only complaint about the cafe, if I had one, would be the lack of variety on the menu. They offer an Italian buffet that is very good in my opinion, but after a few visits I would kind of like a change of pace, on the menu at least.

But having said that, I must say that it is certainly worth the price to go back and see the different shows even if the menu doesn't change! It is one of those "total experience" kind of places!

The Saturday afternoon presentation for the kids at the Vaudeville Cafe Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre includes a pizza lunch and plenty of action, so its sure to keep them entertained.

Vaudeville Cafe Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre Shows

My wife and I have seen 3 out of 4 of the main shows and we definitely have our favorites.

So far, we love the "Mystery at the Redneck-Italian Wedding" show the best! We heard after the show last night (April '07) that the show is the longest running live show (7 years) in Chattanooga and it's easy to see why!

It currently shows at 8:30pm on Saturday nights.

Next on our list would be the Thursday night show, "Mystery at the TV Talk Show" showing at 7:00pm. The Dorothy Show is hilarious!

Then last on our list (so far) would be the "Mystery of Flight 138" showing on Fridays at 7:00pm. It is very funny as well, but just not our favorite.

We have yet to see the "Mystery at the Nightmare High School Reunion" show at 6:00pm on Saturday evenings, but based on the other shows, I'm quite sure it's a hoot!

We also haven't seen the kid's show on Saturday afternoon.

Vaudeville Cafe Helpful Tips

  • First of all the Vaudeville Cafe Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre parking is not the best especially when trying to get out after the show. My recommendation is that you do not park in the lot behind the theatre unless you have serious issues walking possibly a block or so, or you are too broke or cheap to pay for parking (sometimes I am both :).

    There are two paid parking lots just across Market Street from the theatre. Expect to pay around 5 bucks, but bring a little more since parking rates have a way of varying and going up without notice.

  • Secondly, be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled showing and I personally recommend arriving around 45 minutes prior due to the fact that the earlier you arrive, the earlier you can eat! And, trust me, you'll want to begin eating as soon as possible to be able to fully concentrate on the show!

  • Third, be sure to tell them of any special occasions being celebrated inlcuding birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. They have a special way of helping you celebrate!

  • Be prepared to have loads of fun and laugh your back parts off!
