“VW Memories” Don't count on it!

To Whom it will concern:
It's nice to see the hooplas over VW coming to your town. Kinda brings back memories.
Let's see, 1978, Pennsylvania, New Stanton, remember?
Volkswagen came in with the same glad tidings and good news. Ten years latter they left.
The tax breaks ran out, you understand. They promised the word, as they are doing to you now, and left.
All the incentives you are giving them were given here.
I blame it on mismanagement and a total lack of advertising.
You see, the products made there equaled or surpassed those produced in Wolfsburg. So, quality was not an issue.
Yes the plant was union, but the wage scale WAS NOT up with the Big Three.
Trust me on this, I was there. If possible I suggest you look up the history in this. You will see I am correct.
So, watch what promises you make and what they make. They may not even out.
